Mount Pleasant is an 18th-century mansion in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England, built by Francis Hurt Sitwell. The house, built in 1777, is a Grade II* listed building and is considered one of the best 18th-century houses in the city. The mansion was originally owned by the Sitwells, an influential Derbyshire landowner family, and was later sold to Samuel Broomhead Ward. The building was used for various purposes, including the West Riding County Asylum at Wakefield, the Girls' Charity School, and the Mount Pleasant School for Girls. It was designated a listed building in 1952 and was used by various government departments until the late 1960s and early 1970s. The house is brick-built with stone dressings and a hipped slate roof, with three stories and a full-height canted bay window on the south side. The former stables and coach house are also Grade II* listed.
